The University of Texas at El Paso employees, their dependents and retirees now have priority access to high quality and convenient medical care a few minutes away from campus at the newly opened UTEP Employee and Family Care Center with Texas Tech Physicians.
Located in suite 340 at 125 West Hague at the Providence Medical Plaza, behind Providence Memorial Hospital’s emergency room, Texas Tech family medicine doctors will provide personal and comprehensive care to UTEP employees, retirees and students enrolled in the UT Select Health Insurance plan and their eligible dependents.
At the new center, UTEP employees will have priority status to see a doctor by calling 915-215-5800 to make a same day or next day appointment. Members of the UTEP community will be fast-tracked to the head of the line, allowing them to return to work and their daily routines as soon as possible.
The center offers a variety of preventive care services, including immunizations, annual physicals, well woman exams and cancer screenings. Physicians accept patients ages 2 and older.
Patients also have access to Texas Tech’s specialist referral network. When necessary, patients will receive expedited referrals to specialists in such areas as endocrinology, ophthalmology and orthopedics.
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. General surgery consultations are Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 5 p.m.
The new partnership between UTEP and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is an example of the commitment both universities have made to work together to provide high-quality health professions education, research and health care services to the Paso del Norte region.
